GRATITUDE

Two Over Easy All Day Long would never have been possible without the love and support of my family: my daughter, Amanda Arrigotti, who spent countless hours tutoring this dinosaur on web design and social media outreach, and my son-in-law, Matt White, another fearless guide for my foray into technology; my son Marty Arrigotti, whose keen insights and unflagging support have meant so much to me; my dad, David Lane, and my sister, Jessica Eastham—tireless cheerleaders all; and my Other Half who has put up with an absentee spouse as I tap tap tapped away at the story . . .

To Kathy Henzler, whose friendship and encouragement have meant more than I could ever express: Love you to the moon and back! Ditto for the incomparable Julie Sanford. How did I get so lucky to have friends like you?

A huge thank you to the women in my first-ever writing group, Kara and Celia and Arlene, and our beloved June, who left us in 2019, leaving an empty space in our hearts that time can never fully repair.

And another huge thank you to the women in my current writer’s group, Valerie Williamson, Kathy Salyer, Gini Chin, Marna Hopkins, Kathleen Sunshine, and Criss Robinson - it’s your turn to share your amazing talent with the world. And to our fabulous writing coaches and writing retreat leaders, Charlotte Rains Dixon and Deborah Guyol (shout out to Let’s Go Write!): “Thank you” is wholly insufficient.

This note would be incomplete without expressing deep gratitude to the community of creative souls on this island in the Salish Sea, a haven of writerly warmth and support: our library folks (Darren, Nikyta, Beth, Ingrid, Claudia, Jane, Janna, Maggie , and Sam - though you moved off island, you will always be a part of the library - and our small but mighty army of volunteers and interns), and the other writers who faithfully and consistently draw the circle wide to encompass new writers: Lorna, Iris, Becky, Quaniqua, Derek, Bill, Gretchen, Kip, David, Pam, and many more.

And the note would also be incomplete without saying thanks to Russell Nelson, artist and graphic design guru extraordinaire, for the beautiful book cover he designed.

Last but definitely not least, tremendous (colossal, monumental, stupendous) thanks to Betsy and Neal Delmonico—my heart is full because of your passion for good books, and your enthusiasm for Two Over Easy All Day Long. I feel so lucky the universe brought me to you and to Golden Antelope Press!
